“A Family that eats together, sticks together”
In today’s world priorities have shifted so much, that there is no more time for building up our affection towards the people that matter most to us, our family.
I am very surprised to hear that many families don’t take time every day to sit down and have one meal together. Meal times are opportunities to sit down, relax and share time with those we love. It is a time to teach our kids how to eat nice and not chew with their mouths open, but more important, it is a time to pamper them with a nice meal which says I Love You and listen to how their day went, listen to the way they think and share interesting topics. It’s a moment to give honor to the father and for the father to show appreciation to the mother.
I really don’t think that soccer practice, drama, SAT tutoring or any other activity can ever take the place of this wonderful moment of the day, which will create memories for the rest of your life.
By the way, a study proved that children that share one meal a day with their family are less likely to fall into drugs.
