Shavuah Tov!!! We are in the week before Tisha B’Av , the saddest day in our Jewish calendar when many tragedies befell the Jewish people, starting with the destruction of out two Holy Temples. Indifference is the greatest tragedy of all. When we see things that are wrong happening in front of our eyes and we do nothing about it. We have to begin by asking how we are looking inside ourselves and how we are doing with our own relationships in three areas: 1. My relationship with G-d? 2. My relationship with others? 3. My relationship with me?
It is easier to blame everything else, but the reality is that if we fix these three areas of our lives everything else will be fixed by itself. The outer reality can be very scary and threatening, but it is a mirror of how we are behaving as a people. Let’s just be kinder and more loving to one another, more tolerant of our differences and more grateful for our blessings and in this way we can achieve a much better and healthier world for us and everyone else!
