After Joseph was sold to Potiphar ( the right hand of Pharaoh)in Egypt he never forgot who he was and what he represented. After Potiphar made him the CEO of his household, Potiphar’s wife started having a liking towards Joseph and tried to seduce him. Joseph almost gave in, but suddenly he had a vision of his father looking at him. At that moment he got the strength to run away from committing a serious crime by being with a married woman. Potiphar’s wife tells everyone that Joseph was trying to rape her and he is thrown in Jail.
In life we are put through many tests and challenges to see if we are righteous or wicked. G-d knows exactly what we are going to do, He is above time and space. So why does He have to challenge us if He already knows the outcome of the test?
He challenges us so we can know where we are standing in our own spiritual growth. If we don’t pass the test it is so we can change and work on becoming the best us. We know we have passed the test when we are presented again with the same challenge dressed in a different outfit and we are again put through the choice of choosing how we are going to behave in a aeration situation. Once we have passed that opportunity of growth we are not presented with that type of test again.
That is why sometimes things repeat for us many times, it is G-d talking to us and trying to tell us to change our ways.
