” I’m up to …

” I’m up to going anywhere, it just has to be forward” by David Livingstone “Come in to Pharaoh”says G-d to Moses in the opening verse of this weeks Parashah “Bo”(Come), “for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I might place these signs in his midst.”
Rabbi Simeon Bar Yochai explains this Pasuk “it is now fitting to reveal mysteries connected with that which is above and that which is bellow. Why is it written “Come into Pharaoh”? Ought it not rather to have said “Go to Pharaoh”? This wording is to indicate that G-d brought Moses into a chamber within a chamber, into the abode of the Supernal mighty serpent that is the soul of Egypt, from which many lesser serpents emanate. Moses was afraid to approach him because of his extreme power. When G- d saw that Moses feared the serpent, He said Come into Pharaoh.”
(Zohar)
What Rabbi Simeon Bar Yochai is saying is that to approach fear we have to come to it, we cannot go to it. When we look at fear in the face and see it for what it is (lack of faith) then we can come to it and we will discover that it is not separate from G-d but that G-d is with us all the way so we can conquer something which is just a creation of Him.
