Today we begin week two …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

Today we begin week two of the counting of the Omer. We are working the Sefira of Gevura, which means restraint, boundaries and discipline. When we need to get things done we always need to tap into this attribute.
Today is eight days of the Omer “Chesed Shebe Gevura” ( love and kindness in discipline) which is the awareness and recognition that your personal discipline and the discipline you expect of others is only an expression of love. It is an understanding that we have no right to judge others, but we have a right to love them and want them to be their best.
When raising children this combination comes very handy. When we admonish our children or don’t let them do something make them know that it comes from a place of love and concern for their well being. It is not about you, it is about them.
