It is customary to recite chapter 27 of psalms the whole month of Elul until Hoshana Rabba (for a total of 50 days) twice a day during the morning and afternoon prayers.
This very special psalm was composed by King David at the end of his life, renouncing to wars and looking for spiritual peace.
G-d’s house doesn’t have physical limits. It is really a state of mind in which its doors are always open for whoever wants to live there with sincerity. We just have to look for H”S closeness and to want to live our life how He intended it for us since the day we came down to this world. G-d’s home is the only place that gives us security, loyalty and consolation in a world full of pain and deception. Those who live out of it will never experience real peace.
It is not late to begin, this is part of our luggage that we are packing for next year. It will infuse you with energy and strength. Try to do it in the morning and afternoon, it will take you no more than a minute but it will stay with you for eternity.
Live a little higher
