Since the “King is in the field” I want to give you a little tip on prayer.
If we look at the order of our prayers we will learn the most effective way to make them rise high.
In our Siddur (prayer book) in the mornings the first thing we do when we open our eyes is thank H”S for life, then we thank Him for creating us with wisdom making orifices in our bodies so we can breath and excrete what is not needed. Then we continue thanking Him for breathing a soul into us and preserving it till the day we have to return it and it goes on thanking Him for His many kindness to us. Then we acknowledge His superiority and infinite greatness and then we can begin asking for our needs, ending with more gratitude and acknowledgement.
Every year I have the costume of writing down the many personal kindness that H”S has given me, then I write my needs and pray for all those I love and the world at large, finishing off with “May we always have Emunah (faith) and Bitachon (trust) in You and may we all be inscribed and sealed in the book of Good,Healthy and Long Life to serve You all our days with Joy, Abundance, Good Health, Shalom and Peace of Mind.”
Write down your many blessings, you will be amazed of how much good is in your life and in this way you won’t take it for granted giving you a sense of humility and Awe of being given so much. Don’t feel bad about asking for what you need, H”S is waiting for you, this will make you aware that everything comes from Him. And don’t forget to pray for others, it says that when you pray for others H”S will answer you.
Say this personal prayer every day till Roshashana.
May you be blessed with open and revealed good!
Live a little higher
