In Rosh Hashana we not only coronate H”S as the King of the Universe but we also celebrate the birth of humanity. On this day G-d breathed the soul of life into man. And on this day man blows the breath that G-d breathed into him through the Shofar (a ram’s horn) so he can hear the sound of the deepest part of his soul.
When you go to Shul On Rosh Hashana go with this in mind. Be in awe of the incredible gift G-d gave you called LIFE and be aware of G-d remembering you, for this is a day of Remebering.
Not only H”S is remembering every thought, word and action we have done through the year, which fills us with AWE, but it is also a day for us to remember why we are here and what are we here for?
It is a day to acknowledge that we were created with a purpose and for us to look at ourselves and ask “am I living up to what I was created for?”
The day we pass away, hopefully when we are very old, we are shown a picture of an amazing person who lived an amazing life, then we are told that this person was our potential. There is nothing more painful for a soul to see what could’ve been. So don’t waste your time and wait till that day. REMEMBER why you are here for and live up to it.
