So we are in the final count down before the Holiest day of the year “Yom Kipur.” More than being a day for atoning for our sins it is a day of hope. It is a day in which we have the power to erase everything and start a new. It is a day in which we get rid of all materialism and stand as Angels, it is the day in which we have the opportunity to touch the deepest part of us our “Holy of Holies.”
Our souls are comprised of five parts: Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah, Chayah and Yechidah.
During the year we have access to the first four parts, only on Yom Kipur we can touch our true essence, our Yechidah, that part of us that is perfect and pure that has never sinned and is up there next to H”S.
When the service is coming to an end and the gates of heaven are closing at Nehila (final Amida prayer of the day) something stirs inside of us, a little voice tells us that we can do it, we can accomplish what we are here for, we have the strength, that is our Yechidah.
