Shavuah Tov!! Wishing everyone a blessed and beautiful week.
I read a beautiful story in the book Living Emunah 2 by Rabbi David Ashear in which a man from Dallas went to Israel and when he was at the Kottel he saw a religious Jew praying with all his devotion. This made such an impact on the Jew of Dallas that when he came back he went to a Kosher Store and asked where a very religious person from Israel, if he would come to Dallas go to pray? The person gave him the name of the Orthodox Shul and he went there to meet the Rabbi and ask him which services did the Synagogue provide to the community. The Rabbi said they had a Mikvah, a preschool, educational Torah classes for adults and many community activities that are on going like Kiddush for Shabbat and so on. The man was very impressed and took out his check book and gave him a $2000 donation. Eventually the man and the Rabbi became very good friends and he was the biggest supporter of his Synagogue.
Imagine the day the Israeli man went to pray, came back home and his wife asked how was his day and he said normal as usual. This man had no idea what an effect he had on another person changing the life of many in Dallas a place he has never been to. Only when he gets to Shamayim (Heaven) in 120 years he will be able to see what he accomplished by praying with such devotion.
So many times we say or do something that can change the life of someone or many forever.
I want to leave you with this thought in mind for this week.
