Shavuah Tov!!! Wishing everyone a blessed and joyful week. Today the 7th of Adar we commemorate both Moshe Rabenu’s Birthday and Yurtzeid (Anniversary of his passing). He lived 120 years full of purpose and meaning.
His biggest quality was HUMILITY. He was the greatest leader that ever existed and the sages say that Meshiach will carry a spark of him.
Moshe Rabenu understood his place in the world and his mission. He was great because he made others great by bringing out their inherent good and value. This week’s Parasha “Tetzaveh” (You command) is always read in the week in which the 7th of Adar falls, interestingly it is the only Parashah in the book of Exodus in which the name of Moses is not mentioned. This is so to show how humble he was.
Sometimes we do things with the need of being recognized. “He who runs away from honor, honor chases after him.” By Moses not being mentioned in this Parashah we are even more aware of him.
A person go gives honor to H”S by living up to who he was made to be, and by living humbly, H”S will give honor to him.
