In Purim there is a cus …

In Purim there is a custom for men to drink until they don’t know the difference between evil Haman and righteous Mordechai.
When we think we know everything our understanding becomes limited because the cup is full.
The only way in which we can get to know H”S is when we nullify our knowledge towards Him. G-d is an infinite being and we are finite beings with an infinite Neshama. To be able to connect to H”S will we have to make His will our will and in that way He will make our will His will, because at the level of Soul it’s the same will. In order to do this we have to keep ourselves humble and accept that as much knowledge we accumulate in our lives we still know nothing. It is our “Ratzon” (will) to be close to G-d that will allow us to transcend our limited minds and take us to a higher place of connection which cannot be explained because it is not in our realm and capacity. Only with our Emunah (faith) we can get to this place. Our understanding and knowledge will only allow us to get to a certain point, but they will not allow us to transcend.
Women don’t drink to the point they get to know nothing because innately a woman has this Emunah( faith) and Ratzon (will), she is above it.
So let’s accept that we really know nothing, let’s get rid of our arrogance and limited perceptions of life and let’s just let go and get loose in the embrace of H”S and His unlimited and infinite love towards us.
Heard from HaRav Benjamin Eisenberger Shlita last night.
Shabbat Shalom and wishing you a Freilechen (Happy) Purim
