H”S created the world in six days and on the seventh day He gave us Shabbat. The whole purpose of the first six days is for Shabbat. The first six days represent the first six thousand years from creation, each day is a millennium. The seventh day represents the time of Meshiach the ultimate purpose of existence. We are living in the year 5777, we are very close to the seventh millennium,223 more years to go. Friday afternoon, before Shabbat, is considered as this time we are in. We are so close to the end of the 6000 years. This is why life is going so fast. Just as Friday afternoon flies by trying to get everything ready for Shabbat,time is flying by for us to make the proper preparations to receive the Ultimate Shabbat, the whole purpose of our existence.
