Three days left for Rosh Hashana!!! Almost there
The whole preparation before Rosh Hashana is to be able to create a wholesome relationship with H”S,with others, and with ourselves. The purpose of living a Torah infused life is to be able to live up to who we really are so we won’t waste away our potential. The sages teach that what is the most painful for a soul when he departs this world is that he is shown a film of an amazing person and at the end he realizes this person was the person he was meant to be. The remorse and shame the soul feels is very painful. We all have greatness inside of us, we just need to believe we do and that H”S is there to help us reveal it. But to be able to accomplish our potential we need to have a relationship with H”S, this is the place to begin.
By doing Teshuvah, Tefillah and Tzedakah (by repenting and returning to G-d, praying, and giving to others) the relationship is restored.
To love G-d means that you love yourself and others. It means that you understand that you are not a mistake, the lower you fall the higher you can reach. Trust the journey and you will be amazed of how capable you are.
