And tomorrow night we close with a golden pin celebrating Simchat Torah.
On Simchat Torah we complete the cycle of reading the Torah with Parashah”Vezoz Habrachah” with the final blessing of Moshe Rabbeinu before his death.
The very last words of the Torah read:”… and all the great deeds which Moses performed before the eyes of all Yisrael.”
Then immediately we begin reading “Bereshit” the first Torah portion of the Five Books of Moses, with “Bershit Bara Elokim,” (In the beginning G-d created the world..”
What this teaches us is that the end is embedded in the beginning and the beginning is embedded in the end. The Torah is the tree of life which is infinite no matter in which era you live. Is as relevant today as it was 3500 years ago.
So our feet become the legs of the Torah and the men dance and dance entering a dimension were there are no limitations. It is a dance that touch our very essence and the essence of H”S which is one and the same. It is a dance in which there are no differences amongst us no matter our intelectual capacities, wealth, race or spiritual station. We are all one and the same in this cosmic dance which touches immortality itself.
On a side note the Kabbalist teach us that the moving on the feet on Simchat Torah creates the vessel for our parnasah (sustenance). So put on your best shoes and go to your local Synagogue and “dance as if nobody is watching, and live like it’s heaven on earth.”
Gut Yom Tov!
