Our entire life we are in the pursuit of happiness, for most of us this is an elusive goal. The number one issue in this is that we believe that happiness depends on our achievements, on our bank account, on the relationships we have, and so on.
H”S created us to be happy, only when we are happy we can function with our full capacity and our mind and body are in harmony and work at their optimal levels.
Psalm 100 gives us an approach to happiness when it says “Serve H”S with joy, come before Him with joyful song.”
The verse explains that happiness is not dependent on any external circumstance or any other person. Rather, we have the ability to create our own state of happiness by the thoughts, words, and actions we choose to think, say, or do. Those who apply this verse to their lives are the most fortunate people in the world.
Life is an opportunity to serve our Creator and when we see it as that, then at every moment and circumstance we can do just that and the joy will come by knowing this truth.
We are masters of our own lives and we do have the power to choose.
