This week we will re-experience the awesome story of Purim, which happened around 357 BCE. When the king of the Persian Empire,Ahashverosh and the wicked Haman planned to annihilate all the Jews.
The way in which the story unfolds gives us awe, we see how H”S plays the cards behind the scenes and eventually all the Jewish people of Persia are saved by Divine Grace.
Awe pulls us out of life’s pettiness and expands our vision.
H”S sometimes sends us awesome experiences to uplift us from our routine and it helps us move forward with strength and determination. We need to act quickly though, because just as that awesome moment comes it goes.
Awe is a gift H”S gives us from above to help empower us in our work to connect to Him. But it’s just a gift and the work has to be done by us.
The only way in which that connection can be unbreakable is when it comes from our efforts and struggles.
You don’t need to travel around the world for awe-inspiring moments. They are always there, you just need to be in tune and open to see H”S awesome creation. We can see it in nature and we can see it from others actions. When we do tap into this way of looking at life, we will be constantly rising above the mundane and we will experience the awesome power of life.
