Yud Aleph, The 11th of …

Yud Aleph, The 11th of Nissan, marks the birthday of Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
The essence of a person is his soul (neshama), and the neshama exists before birth. So what is the significance of a birthday?
The Rebbe explained that when a person is born his service (Avoda) of H”S begins by purifying the world and creating a dwelling place for G-d in the world.
In a letter written by the Rebbe, on his birthday (11th of Nissan, 5722 -1962), he explains that the Festival of Pesach reminds and teaches us that true freedom means total freedom; that is full and complete freedom in all three aspects that constitute human life: the realm of the soul, the realm of the body, and the realm of the world.
True freedom means to remember every day that we are free from Mitzrayim (limitations):”Remember the day of your liberation from the land of Mitzrayim all the days of your life.”
Remember you are a SOUL that was sent in a BODY to this WORLD to elevate it with G-dliness in everything you do.
This is true freedom, to live up to the purpose for which you were created, to live with your essence and not with the limitations that this world imposed on you.“Remember this every day of your life.”
