Today we count the tenth day of the Omer with “Tiferet Shebe Gevura” (Compassion within Discipline).
Compassion means unconditional love, a love so strong that it has no measure. It reaches a place so high that nothing can end it. It is a selfless love, it is love for the sake of love.
It doesn’t recognize religion, race, status, beauty, fame, or any other attribute that can give a reason to love.
It means loving someone even if their unlovable. At a deeper level it means to love because you are a reflection of G-d.
The Gevura aspect of this combination allows us to channel this love. It gives us the ability to be able to focus this compassion in the right direction.
Try today to love someone who is hard to love just for the sake of love .
