Said Moshe to the Jewis …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

Said Moshe to the Jewish people:”Take G-d’s revenge against Midian.”(Bamidbar 31:1)
The people of Midian had no motives to attack the Jewish people; their whole motivation was baseless hatred “Sinat Chinam,” it was an irrational hatred. The second Temple was also destroyed because of this grave malady which is rooted in EGO. The egocentric person feels threatened by others, because their sole existence threatens their exaggerated feeling of themselves.
Although this type of person not necessarily tries to actively harm someone else, deep inside they feel pleasure when they see them suffer. This type of person will be blind to the positive qualities of the other and since his own relationship with G-d is not sincere he can’t believe that others are.
On the other hand, a person who doesn’t suffer from exaggerated self syndrome, will see the good in others and will put their focus on that. He will feel genuine pain when he sees others suffer because he judges from a favorable standpoint looking always for the good in the other.
The altruistic person will see the difference of opinion, believes, and ways of being of others as opportunities to come closer to the truth.
When a person is always trying to grow and find his true self he will not feel hatred towards others, on the contrary, he will respect and tolerate how others view the world.
