After Moshe Rabbeinu fulfilled his duty in this world, he prayed to H”S 515 times to be allowed to enter into the Land of Israel. If Moses would of prayed one more time, making it 516 times (an extra prayer) his entrance would of been granted.
So why did Moses only pray 515 times, why didn’t he do that extra one?
Because G-d asked him to stop, and as a true servant of H”S he stopped.
But we are not Moshe Rabbeinu. Never stop praying, when you feel you have touched rock bottom and everything seems lost, make that extra prayer.
Although our prayers sometimes feel as if they have fallen into deaf ears and no one is listening and they seem unanswered. Know that there is no such a thing. H”S always listens to us and he always answers a prayer. Maybe He will not answer in the way you want, but He will always answer in the way we need.
When we pray we don’t have the power to change H”S decrees, but when we pray we do have the power to change ourselves and when we change, our decrees change.
What I have learned when praying for others is that miracles do happen and salvation does arrive, even when we think everything is lost.
