Today we continue on gaining tools in how to fight our yetzer hara (evil inclination)
In the Megillah, which we read in Purim, Queen Esther has been given the opportunity to save the Jewish people from complete annihilation.
To be able to do this, she must approach King Ahashverosh, without being called, and beseech on behalf of the Jews. Not only that, but she needs to also reveal to him that she is Jewish and this could cost her life.
Mordechai comes to her and says:”Perhaps this is the moment for which you were created.”
What he meant was that if the Jewish people were going to be saved it would come through her or through any other method, but H”S was giving her the merit to bring it through her.
Do we do the Mitzvah or we don’t do the Mitzvah? Sometimes we ask ourselves this question. The Yetzer Hara will try to lure you into not doing it, he will give you hundreds of reasons to keep you from doing it. But if you access your Yetzer Tov (good inclination), you will run to do it because perhaps for this moment you have been created.
