Rosh Chodesh Shevat Tov!!!
Wishing everyone a blessed month full of good health and open and revealed good.
The month of Shevat is the month in which the rain water of the winter months begins to ascend in the veins of the trees and bring new life, this is why on the 15th of Shevat we celebrate the Rosh Hashana “New Year of trees.”
The ascent of water is represented in the pail, which in Hebrew stems from the root meaning “to lift up,” as in the verse “my eyes are lifted up to heaven” (Isaiah 38:14).
The Tzadik is considered the true manifestation of the water-carrier. “Water” refers to “Torah,” and Torah is the life force that sustains the spiritual world. Just as physical life wouldn’t be able to survive without water our souls wouldn’t be able to survive without Torah.
