Today we count the 17th day of the Omer with “Tiferet shebe Tiferet” (compassion within compassion).
As we already know, Tiferet is the perfect balance between Chesed (love and kindness) and Gevurah (Discipline). Today we have a double dose of this powerful mixture. For compassion to be real, one must put himself in the others shoes. One must look at life through their eyes. It means that we don’t judge others and from the deepest part of our being we only want what is the best for them.
When someone is going through a hardship, the biggest help is to have someone who silently shares the pain. Someone who is giving to the person what he needs at that moment. Sometimes it is kind words, sometimes it’s silence. “Tiferet shebe Tiferet” is to have the ability to get out of ourselves and get into someone else. Tiferet shebe Tiferet is the ultimate beauty because “beauty is truth and truth is beauty.”(John Keats)
Selflessness and nullification of one self allows us to merge with the ultimate truth, and that is that in the level of soul we all merge into one with H”S, with this we come to understand that the ultimate purpose of life is to experience it in all levels and ultimately connect our selves to the truth and only truth which is G-d.
As the Sages teach “to love the Father one must love His children.”
